A Mexican Corporation established in 1997 which owns12,000acres (with clear title) of which 6000 acres are developable for Tourism-oriented Projects, of which 4500 Acres are listed in the Master Plan. The area will be referenced as the Sandy Beach Resorts (SBR) Area, located in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora Mexico (cradled between the Sea of Cortez and the Sonoran Desert), located approximately 60 miles from the U.S.A. / Mexico Border.
The SBR Property is located on the western shores of the city of Puerto
Peñasco (Rocky Point), Sonora, Mexico, which is a 1 hour drive from the Mexico/USA border on the shores of the Sea of Cortez. The distance to Phoenix and Tucson is 212 miles, a 3.5 hour drive, with access to 40 million people within a 2 hour flying radius.
The land has been under development for 11 years. SBR has completed seven (7) Beach-Front Resorts on the SBR Property, with a total of 1324 condos and lots that were joint-ventured or privately developed. Two more Beach-Front Resorts, Casablanca & Esmeralda, are under construction.
The Company has construction, project management, realty, architectural, and maintenance services including 14 executives and managers, with a total of 104 employees.
SBR Property Infrastructure Investments
: Over $12.1 Million in net infrastructure investments have been made on date in the Sandy Beach Resorts Property. Investments have been primarily in Electrical, Water, Sewer, Roads, and Telephone infrastructure. All Water, Sewer, Telephone and most of the electrical distribution systems are underground (design in place for 100% electrical underground). Recently completed 30,000 KVA sub-station on site designed to expand to 120,000 KVA. Two on-site 25 LPS sewer treatment plants completed, together with engineering for first phase desalination plant (83 LPS to expand to 600 LPS) scheduled in 2010.
: Total SBR Master Plan has been zoned for Tourism Development and has fully approved Environmental Impact Authorization.
